| Let's not forget her vote on the tax bill, with the elimination of the SALT deduction and capping the deduction on mortgage interest. |
This too. I don’t care if she is R, D, independent or an alien. But I need my Rep to stand up for my District and my concerns. Not Paul Ryan’s view of America. And my concerns are definately that I am a Fed, and she has stood there and watched and done zero for us. And definately SALT. And the NRA pandering. And the DeVos anti-public education crap. It definately doesn’t feel like she represents me. Or the concerns of anyone I know. And the ducking town hall pisses me off. IDK if it is a decision on her part not to break with Trump, or she made the call to represent her rural base. Either way, she does a piss poor job or representing my priorities. |

Comstock is a worthless POS who serves nobody's interests beyond her own. She has done nothing she has said she's going to do and can't be reached for anything. If you are "connected" politically speaking, you can reach her--but if you are an ordinary citizen, forget it. Town halls? No. Repsond to constituent concerns? Hell no. Jump when the NRA says so? How high would you like?
Can't stand her. |
| ^^^Agree. |
| My parents are both voting for Comstock. I don't live in the district anymore, but I probably would too if I did. |

Wexton
Comstock has proven herself to be a weak willed POS incapable of standing up to Trumpy and his ilk. |
Barbara Comstock is the epitome of a political hack. She's nothing but an empty suit, toeing the party line of the day. |
| Comstock is even more sure to lose after Trump nixed the federa pay increase. |
| Wexton! |
Exactly! |

Barbara, but she’s going to lose.
It’s just not plausible that the Party can gain seats in this midterm, and Barbara has unfairly been cast as the most endangered member. Credit to the Resistance types for mobilizing so well, this thread being an example (no, western Fairfax and Loudoun do not hate Barbara). A shame because the President will take Barbara’s phone calls. Where’s the outrage against Connolly, Beyer, Kaine and Warner. Do you think THEY’RE doing anything to get Feds their precious raise at my expense? |

I've been a lifelong Democrat and I don't like Trump, but I became a Republican today.
I have spent my life defending minorities, but I've been called a racist too many times. I've defended the reproductive rights and equal pay for women and I've accused of being sexist. I've defended the rights of the LGBTQ Community, but I've been accused of being a homophobe. Today Betsy DeVos restored the right to due process to men on college campuses and this resolution has been criticised by the Democratic Party. My values have not changed and I remain dedicated to fighting for anyone marginalized in our society. However, too many Democrats have accused me of things that I am not for their personal gain. The coalitions within the Democratic Party are too self-serving. Throughout my life I have philosophically and politcally supported policies that helped women and minorities never voting for anything that was specifically advantageous to white males, but this time it's just too much. The Democrats are opposed to men having the right to due process on college campuses. To the coalition's who comprise the Democratic Party, I spent a lifetime defending your civil rights and often times you scorned me because I was a straight white male. But taking my civil rights of due process away from me was and remains too much for me too bear. There is no place for me to stand in the Democratic Party any longer. I'm voting for Barbara Comstock |
Do you not understand that they are coming for you next? They don't like your kind either, even if you stood in line and followed the rules. |
