Huh? The patriarch is a successful dental surgeon. By the way, they eat meat and everything else any normal family eats. Not vegan. But the wife is a homemaker and she does prefer (does NOT mandate) a more-so vegetarian heavy diet for the family.

The patriarch and homemaker?

My child doesn't like milk either and we never force it upon them. They'll have it with cereal or ice cream but never as a drink. The pediatricians in America constantly ask us if they are eating dairy several times a day and that we really need to.

How is it that a whole continent survives without drinking milk and do not have calcium deficiencies, but in America if we don't then we will??

Exactly.

And this is because in America corporate entities say milk is a great source of calcium but don’t actually tell you that it literally leeches calcium from your bones. We have the highest rates of osteoporosis. But don’t let these stupid scientific “theories” hold you back!!

If you don't want to do that, don't drink cows milk.

Actually, they use corn to do that. You've never been to a farm have you?

Those who don't drink milk: Do you just mean a glass of milk or like even cappuccinos and lattes are off limits?

Yes, I know there are soy/almond lattes, but those are fairly recent phenoms. And a soy/almond cappuccino is awful - it doesn't steam/froth correctly.

News flash: alternative milks are worse for you than dairy. And worse for the environment. If you don't want cow's milk, just don't drink milk.

Cows can't digest corn. They really need to stop doing that.

I still have half and half in my coffee every morning, and ice cream every now and then. But when you really think about the concept of dairy, it's pretty foul.

No more so than eating eggs or, for that matter, the actual animal.

How is that non-sense - can you provide an example of another species that consumes a different species milk?

Of course. Cats love cow milk. They lack opposable thumbs, though, so cannot get it themselves. Monkeys in India will follow milk delivery men and attack them, stealing cow milk to drink.

Completely agree on the eating of eggs. Less so on eating animal flesh - I understand why earlier humans hunted and used all parts of animals for things like clothing. These days, not so much. I don't think I could go full vegan, but it certainly makes sense (and is very easy to do) by eating less animal products.

So, how is this of any importance to you, OP? They don't drink milk.

When someone makes a statement like the one in your subject line, it means they really want you to ask them about it so they can share their theories with you. Just like all the other posters who already replied saying how terrible it is to drink cows milk.

I hope they drink coconut milk with coconut oil! And that they cook in coconut oil all the time! Natural selection at its best.
