Slide, 44, grew up in Illinois/ Missouri. Never heard something board before! But yes, many burns. And also gashes along my leg from raggedy ones.

I’m roughly the same age as you, from Baltimore City, and called them sliding boards until my MoCo native children forced me to stop.

BTW it's clearly called yellow cake, not chocolate cake.


People are just hostile to anything associated with the old Baltimore rather than the trendy hipsterish one. Like it didn’t have a culture before 2014, let alone a distinct vocabulary and accent.
