OP -- it's not your job to bring your mom around. She will or she won't. Just be 100% on your daughter's side. If mom makes comments that offend you/her, call them out.

100% on daughter’s side sounds like you are setting this up for a battle between the daughter and grandmother. It has to be a blow to an 80 year old woman who has an entire different mindset about homosexuality. Give her time, and it might become as insignificant to her as your daughter having a new job.

OP with an update. Grandmother got over it and accepting of DD being gay and we all had a nice holiday season together.
