ALL bad white trash. Glad the show is toast.
You cannot say that all of the actors in the show were not complicit in Roseanne’s racism. They were there to make a buck and put up with her bs to get a paycheck. For any of them to play dumb is just silly. They knew who they were working with/for. John, Laurie and Sara are all terrible actors who seemingly turned a blind eye to that hateful woman. If you lie down with dogs . . . So happy its OVER. |
I think you have issues..... I suspect you’re also quite trashy yourself. You’re very judgemental, for starters. Your lack of forgiveness and understanding or sympathy is quite tellingZ |
And Laurie Metcalf and John Goodman are terrible actors... right. |
+1 I don't and have never watched but I feel bad for everyone who will lose their job because of her actions. Kill off the character at the start of the spinoff and call it a day. |
This. |
How boring would a Sara Gilbert show be. Ugh. She plays all her characters the same. |
Didn't watch the reboot and wouldn't watch a second reboot. Some things are best left in the past. |
This. The will and grace reboot made everyone think its a good idea. It rarely works. And now the robot has tainted the original ionic show! Not to mention how everyone is losing their residuals!!!! |
I felt like Sara Gilbert was carrying the show. Roseanne felt really forced like she was trying really hard to act like the Roseanne character from before. Maybe it was just because she hasn't acted in a long time. A spin off I don't see doing as well in ratings. What might work as a spin off is to focus on Darlene and David and what happened after they married but that would change the cast again as the actor and actress for her kids would have to be replaced. I think ABC was too rash in their decision to cancel and are likely regretting their choice. It sounds like it was their lead show for the fall season and their biggest money maker. |
I agree, but I think you can create that dynamic by having Rosanne's and Lorie's mother move in. You'd still get the exasperated and frustrated Jackie and the dynamic between Dan and his MIL would be good too. But you'd have to have the Rosanne character be replaced by someone else who Jackie and Dan could bounce off of. |
Laurie Metcalf is a brilliant actress and was nominated for an oscar. No idea why she would get back into this TV mess. |
TMZ is now saying they'll be back this fall, without Roseanne. I'm putting it out here first. The question is "How will they deal with Roseanne not being on the show anymore?" Here is the answer I came up with three seconds after the show was canceled:
Dan got the money due to the big storm in the last episode that aired. That would be enough money to fix the house himself AND pay for Roseanne's knee surgery. When the show comes back, Roseanne has to have DIED IN KNEE SURGERY. Like Kanye's mom dying in plastic surgery - it's possible, but freak accident-style. Okay, see you all in September to see if I'm right! Bye! |
I don't think they'll kill Roseanne off. The writers will send her off somewhere and maybe every now and then she'll get a bit part in one of the episodes - like a telephone call from some far away place.
|
I decided not to watch the Roseanne revival because of Roseanne herself, but I would consider watching this. |
I think she'll be in rehab for quite awhile. They will talk to her on the phone. |
