WP endorsed Wexton, supposedly more likely to be able to work with both sides of the aisle, more moderate/less polarizing. I like Helmer, especially what he did at the gun show, but we really need moderation. Too much extremes on both sides, which is why we're in this mess.

I disagree, I think there is mostly extremism just on one side. The Republicans have gotten nuttier and their party has basically no ideology or principle right now. Reagan would be a moderate Democrat in 2018.

Uh, no. No he would not. And I would counter your statement by saying the liberals have gotten nuttier - and that's an understatement.

Sorry, I don’t want someone who can “work with” the NRA. No Wexton for me.

I want someone who can work with the Republicans to reform gun laws and their enforcement. Gun Culture is so ingrained in the US, change will have to come in small, bite-sized pieces, unfortunately. I feel Wexton could accomplish more than someone who is just running on this issue. Believe me, I would love to see radical changes, but that just isn't going to happen and no progress will be made by electing someone too far left on this.

Wexton barely even tried though. Seemed like she was phoning it in, hoping to win on name recognition and endorsements. She strikes me as lazy and establishment.

this is how I have been feeling, and also what a lot of people on the ground in parts of VA-10 have said. she is going basically on her name recognition and not putting in much work. I mean, I guess she can, but she hasn't inspired me in any way yet. I sure hope she picks it up as she is the odds on favorite.

That bugs me. Friedman ran a much better campaign, and her beliefs are more aligned with the real life people I know. Really want her to win!

If I could, I would vote for Wexton.

The dude running against Barbara (Shaq?) had a supporter in a Trump shirt and hat sitting outside during kiss and ride today. A group of 6th graders started grilling her about Trump and she ran away lol.

I wanted to like Alison but couldn’t do it. She said she was from Takoma Park. She lived there until she was a kid, she “grew up” in Cali. I also have a hard time supporting someone who just throws a million dollars at a problem. Wants to be in politics? Buys a million dollar house. Needs more money? Throws a million at her own campaign. The fact that she owns two million dollar homes (one in DC and one in McLean) irks me. If she loses she’ll just go back to the District.

Shaq got 40% of the Republican vote. That is freakin scary. He ran to her right!! He is a major trump fan! So 40% of area republicans think Comstock isn’t Trump enough?

I want to believe that it’s just people trying to spoil the race for Babs and they would never vote for that idiot in the general but....
