I hope you're voting for comstock because you'd be ok with her possibly winning. I'd hate to see terrible options on the ballot like the last presidential election.

Yes, voted for her for state delegate, and twice for Congress.

Why else would I vote for her? She's doing a good job for the most part. She is representing her constituents.

Great, as long as you're not voting for who you think is the easiest to defeat in the not-your-party.

I'll be voting for the dem nominee most likely to beat Comstock. WP endorsed Wexton, supposedly more likely to be able to work with both sides of the aisle, more moderate/less polarizing. I like Helmer, especially what he did at the gun show, but we really need moderation. Too much extremes on both sides, which is why we're in this mess.

This is what sucks about politics. The people who are the most charismatic, best campaigners are not going to be the best at the actual job.

I mean they might be, but they are two different skill sets.

I disagree, I think there is mostly extremism just on one side. The Republicans have gotten nuttier and their party has basically no ideology or principle right now. Reagan would be a moderate Democrat in 2018.

When she voted to let mentally ill people have access to their guns, she was not representing me.

She has an "A" rating from the NRA-the gun manufacturers' mouthpiece. Are there a lot of gun manufacturers headquartered in her District? Is she representing her constituents with these votes?

I get it, but we have 6 good candidates, and I think there are others who are better suited in this regard.

I've met her and heard her speak. I will support her if she is the nominee, as she is definitely bright and hard working. But we also need someone who will debate well against Comstock, and I just don't see that from her right now.

Sigh. This is exactly how we landed up with the mess today.

NO, and no the NRA is not in her district, and yes, many constituents support her in second amendment freedoms.

Comstock is my District. And I live about 2 miles from NRA headquarters. So, if she does not represent NRA HQ, she is very close.

NRA HQ is Gerry’s District. The district lines are very oddly drawn. I live in Greenbriar, and only part of my neighborhood is 10 (of course that’s my part)

I think I am going to vote for Alison Friedman. She's had by far the most success fundraising of all the Dems and she is staunchly anti-NRA which is important to me. Comstock will have a campaign war chest and we'll need funds to combat that. I met her intern last night at my door - I'm jealous because the neighborhood next to mine got Friedman herself!
