Plenty of assholes, though. (Or at least one...^^) |
Taxpayers, for the most part. Some expenses are paid from the personal income of the family or individual. Prince Andrew, for example, pays some of the expenses of his daughters, who live at Kensington. They need security details, so keeping them all at Kensington makes sense. |
Different strokes! I think Kate has fantastic style. |
I'm guessing kate had very little say. There are probably a ton of royal "requirements" for the lounge room (or whatever tgey call it where you meet & mingle with guests). For example, royal protocol dictates light paint color, neutral, no personal photos on display, no religious objects, painting of royal heritage, etc. Kate probably had the "choice"of whether to choose cream or off white colored paint for the walls. Wow - a choice between bland and bland. |

Hmmm. Not an a - just speaking the truth.
Completely obvious by all of the recent topics on “trashy and classy.” If you have to ask! |
Her style of everything is 1978. Her clothes, makeup, decor, everything. That wedding gown was a design from 1978. I know, I was in or at tons of 1978 weddings. So odd! |
Not really. Diana's receiving room was very lively. Pinks and baby blue everywhere. Photos of the boys on the mantle. Plus her hand-monogramed luggage casually put about
Personal photos also on the reception piano. |
Right down to that stodgy dress she's wearing. Michelle Obama is 18 years her senior and a much better dresser.
I will say that all her furniture looks comfortable for children which is always nice. |
Great pic of Michelle Obama. |

Kate Middleton is inherently a very conservative woman with very conservative tastes. Royals can decorate their quarters as they wish. Kate clearly prefers the understated. You see the same with her clothes. She has no desire to be glamorous or fashionable. So much of her stylistic preferences strongly date from the 1930s-1950s. She's bit of an anomaly. |
Interesting. I never thought they were buying their own clothes but rather that was someone on their staff's job to purchase outfits and align them with the events they would be attending that day. |
“Her” style? So William has no influence?
|
Probably not, no. |
Honey, put down the wine. |
