William and Mary Drug Ring

Anonymous
In the early 90s there was an upper middle class boy in my apartment selling cocaine. His apartment was raided, they found the drugs and cash. He went home for a semester. Never went to jail. Graduated a year late. I feel like judges must be pretty lenient to college kids, esp first-time offenders.

Officers seized LSD, cocaine, psilocybin (mushrooms), opioids, amphetamines, steroids, hashish and marijuana during the investigation.

LSD, cocaine, psilocybin (mushrooms), opioids, amphetamines, steroids, hashish and marijuana......that was a standard Tuesday afternoon when I was an undergrad in Madison.

+100 If people think they can find a score to send their kids that doesn't have temptations, more power to them. Will be interested to hear about that Bubble University.

The Maryland posters never shut up. Just remember your best known athlete OD'd.

I'm not from Maryland. and I know about W&M well enough, first hand. Disaster place.

Any college can be a disaster place if it isn't the right fit. Have 2 very different children there now and both of them have loved it.

Please come back here and give sources for the claim about "a reputation for racism among people from international backgrounds" specifically. Are you referring to international or overseas students or to American students of color or--? Articles? Incidents that can be looked up? I'm not being snarky--I want to know what you're referencing if it's something beyond just "Ive heard about a reputation but can't give any specifics."

Also, no engaging activities or constructive outlets? There isn't a single activity, club, interest group, activist group, service organization, theater troupe, dance group, music performance on campus ever that is engaging or constructive? Are you a student there or an alum? Again, I'm actually asking. I am not an alum but DC is interested. We know several families with kids there now, or recent grads, and they all were very busy outside academics--orchestra, dance troupe, service. What were you seeking that wasn't there to engage you?
