If you're going to forbid your child to go to a school with easy access to pot you're really narrowing your choices.

Why? Because it's William & Mary.

Officers seized LSD, cocaine, psilocybin (mushrooms), opioids, amphetamines, steroids, hashish and marijuana during the investigation.

Williamsburg has a lot of bad areas. People only see/think of the areas like kingsmill (gated community - famous golf course)

All those service workers, even the ones dressed up in colonial garb? High as kites.

Source - unfortunately spent 2 years in a Williamsburg high school

I wonder if the sexual assault aspect is going to come out later as the case against them progresses.

Beyond its serenity (which some people may value), at least on the outside, Williamsburg is a small, very quiet to the point of being boring, town, definitely more so for young and active people. The drug problem cannot be isolated from the overall culture and atmosphere of the W&M college, on one hand having a reputation of being very demanding academically and on the other offering little by way of engaging activities and constructive outlets for students to balance study and leisure. It also has a reputation for racism among people from international backgrounds...

If those are your idea of “bad areas” you’ve lived a very sheltered life.
