Sweet baby Jesus, how is this shitbomb worth this much? Garfield St. in Arlington

Flag pillow in a bedroom too. It’s clearly part of their meticulous staging.

The price makes me laugh. I am not sure I can get that for my fully renovated and larger house in Bethesda.

It is a double lot but hard to see how and why. But this is not how folks see the world here generally speaking no

I live in the neighborhood too and after this post had to drive by it this morning to see if there was some other redeeming feature. Nope. Small lot, squeezed between two similar houses. So, even for a teardown, probably limited value because of lot setbacks. I can't imagine it going for more than $800K.

Best. thread. Ever.

Also wtf is on the staircase wall. I hope that was intentional redecorating that coincided with painting the railing because this is the hgtv hellscape we deserve.

That was my reaction, too. I had to go back and make sure I hadn't imagined it! Also the turquoise trim paint? Wut?

At first glance, it looks like a crime scene.

It’s where Spongebob died.

That rug really ties the room together.

I see what you did there.

Are those babies hugging pumpkins between the thrones in the living room?

You DCUMs are so critical, with no vision. Location, location, location. Someone is going to buy it and will turn it into a dream house one way or another.

Quite sure we can all visualize it being bought at a much lower price.

I think it will be a $1 mil teardown, just because a couple houses on Custis road close to the Courthouse metro sold for that last year, and builders bought them. One house is close to having the exterior done already.

F*cking ridiculous.

Yikes.

If they need to sell quick it’s a really bad idea to price so high.

I don't think anyone should buy from these sellers. It would be a legal mess. The county may have already found a buyer who is in the process of paying the back taxes.

Yes. Good eye! The were banished from the upstairs pumpkin room when they painted the ceiling to match.
