Sweet baby Jesus, how is this shitbomb worth this much? Garfield St. in Arlington

I live in Arlington and defend many home posters here think are awful. But that is awful.
I really hope they left all that garish paint and crappy caninets because they know it will be torn down.

Quite sure we can all visualize it being bought at a much lower price.

+1

It will get purchased for $800-900k and torn down.

Buyer beware! This house has delinquent taxes and the county is selling it off. See:

Is the county selling the house or the owner? Or are owners trying to be sneaky?

What’s with the tree in the middle of the patio?

I'll never understand why realtors do not force the owners to do the small things to make the house have a universal appeal before listing. Paint is cheap. And at this price, the house is not a tear down.

That said, the negative reactions are overblown. It's paint people. The real issues with this house is the high price for what is an antiquated layout of house that will need some upgrades to match its price.

So the sellers own both 600 and 604 Garfield St?

Also wtf is on the staircase wall. I hope that was intentional redecorating that coincided with painting the railing because this is the hgtv hellscape we deserve.

That was my reaction, too. I had to go back and make sure I hadn't imagined it! Also the turquoise trim paint? Wut?

At first glance, it looks like a crime scene.

It’s where Spongebob died.

I have never once LOLed from DCUM until this post. Kudos.
