Sweet baby Jesus, how is this shitbomb worth this much? Garfield St. in Arlington

Every time I think I’ve seen the ugliest Arlington possibly could have to offer, DCUM delivers.

Very patriotic homeowners. Small American flag in the backyard. Also, the blue bathroom has an American flag towel, the white bathroom has an American flag towel, but the blue and white bathroom does not have an American flag towel. What does this mean?

This post is amazing. Thanks for sharing OP.

What I can’t figure out is why they have a shower door plus a shower curtain in the unamerican bathroom.

I think this is more for practicality. I use dollar store shower liners (change them every month) inside my frameless shower doors to make cleaning easier and the caulk job last longer, but it looks absolutely hideous. I would have removed the curtain for the photos. Or perhaps the curtain could be hiding the mold and mildew colonizing the original tilework.

I live in the neighborhood and no most of us would not think it is anywhere close to that value. I can’t tell if for some reason
It is a double lot but hard to see how and why. But this is not how folks see the world here generally speaking no

I’m thinking they just came back from a trip to Palo Alto and thought they’d try out the prices for shacks posted out there.

That, or they’re straight up crazy.

It cannot be overstated how much people want to buy something in this area. I say they get every penny. The market is hotter than white hot. Coveted beyond human comprehension. To be sure, is there an element of irrationality? Sure. Plus, “downtown” Clarendon has become lame, with lots of vacancies. At bottom, though, it’s n Arlington. God’s not making any more of it.

Seems ludicrous unless you can build a Starbucks there

They do refer to rezoning in the listing. ??

I say $800k tear down.

The Redfin estimate is for 1.4

So weird. It’s a tear down, and I’m not usually one to say that.

Also wtf is on the staircase wall. I hope that was intentional redecorating that coincided with painting the railing because this is the hgtv hellscape we deserve.

I can't stop laughing at this

Redfin changes their estimate the instant a house hits the market. Ours was significantly lower Wednesday of this week than it was Thursday right after our house hit the market. Now our Redfin estimate is 20 grand OVER what we're asking whereas before it was about 40 grand under what we were going to list for. It's so stupid.
