No need to mention the weight gain to anyone, reasons behind it, that you are working on it, etc. that only makes you sound insecure.

A pic is worth a thousand words....

+1 fully agree with this. ANd since you already talking to this guy just exchange pics before you go out and send the current ones

The answer here is to lose weight and quit fooling yourself with excuses. "This and that happened, etc." You're eating too much.

5-10 pounds is a HUGE difference. Also, he's a big guy (used to workout and has a large frame. If you're a woman 10 pounds is a lot of weight. If you're worried about the weight, burn it off.

1. Stop eating sugar.
2. Stop eating processed foods.
3. Stop eating after 9pm.
4. Stop eating fried foods.
5. Drink plenty of water (pee at last 5-6 times a day).

You will lose 2-4 actual pounds in the first week alone.

You are a DH. No woman is as insane as this poster.

What is insane about eating healthy? It's not hard to not eat sugar, processed food, skip fried food and drink water. Anyone who plays sports or stays in shape does this as a normal lifestyle. I would say you're the insane one of you think this is remotely difficult.

Nah. I exercise compulsively so that I can eat anything I want.

Dress nice. You have a nice rack? West a dress that shows your nice size. You don’t need to show skin. But damn we guys love curves.

We see that. Your cute. Your fun. You like to joke and
Have a good time. We’re in like Flynn and those 10 pounds do not matter.

Guess “you guys” don’t like grammar, huh?

Please stop talking

New poster here. I'm a woman. This isn't insane. It's great advice. I don't understand why they should stop talking. It isn't a crash diet. It's eating smart.

I gained some weight after a particularly stressful period. My doctor gave me pretty similar advice (plus reducing carbs significantly) and the pounds melted off. I feel much better and my blood work looks way better. Nothing insane about that.

What's ridiculous is that you believe that is some kind of a norm. It's unhealthy.
Also lame to then claim your actual weight is your last good looking weight.

I would assume you had an eating disorder or serious body image issues if you need to preemptively point out that you gained 5-10 lbs. Your focus on your weight and your appearance would be a turn off.

If you had gained enough weight that your pictures no longer looked like you - then I would say put up new pictures and be honest in your profile about your body type.
