| What are W schools? Im new here. |
This is why people like some of the previous posters shouldn't waste people's time by posting "jokes" that some people then don't realize are jokes, which then spawns all these other posts. PP, perfectly sensible question from you -- a "W" school is a shorthand way of referencing the schools in Bethesda that are considered to have a lot of rich and high-performing kids. Many of those schools have a W in their name (Walt Whitman, Winston Churchill, etc.). The poster saying that the W schools would be notified first was making a joke, and referencing lots of other threads where the "W" school factor is brought up for a variety of different reasons. |
| So back to the point - no one seeing test result letters today? |
My mail already came today, and no letter. Has anyone called the special programs office to see if there's an update on when they're going out? I know earlier in the thread a poster or two mentioned having called the number. |
| Nothing in the mail today... |
| Mail arrived but no letter. |
| Does everyone get a letter regardless of whether they make it or not? |
I would assume so! Otherwise they would be on the phone answering calls all day. |
Yes. |
Can you share more on this? |
In the past, everyone has gotten a letter, whether they were accepted or waitlisted or not accepted. |
|
The Tweet from MoCo Special Programs in January stated "Waiting to hear about the middle school magnet results from Takoma Park, Eastern and Clemente? Look for results in the mail the week of Feb 12!"
So I think that Eastern/TP should still be getting results this week. Maybe Clemente's have less far to travel? [Grasping at straws, really] |
Clemente had a totally different process -- applications, teacher recommendations, and a different test I imagine. So those Clemente letters have nothing to do with the results we are waiting for. |
We will need the results soon since certain middle school requires class registration by this Friday. Not much time to decide. |
| PP, why don't YOU call the office to find out. Lazy, entitled much? |
