The problem is that although the liberals contend to be the party of compassion, their compassion is quite frequently misdirected. Here is a perfect example of compassion for those here illegally over those here legally who lost their lives for something that could have likely been prevented, simply by enforcing existing law. If the poster's 11 year old child was the one dead in this story (which I would never wish) I am sure the tune would be different. |
DP. Some people are justified in their states for being scared in their communities wondering if their law enforcement will protect them or if they are able to protect them for complicated issues right? (Ford is reported working on automated traffic police technology for this reason.) We are between a rock and a hard place. People feel they need to protect themselves for different reasons. I wish things were different. I wish we could spend the money we spend on incarcerating people on rehabiliating people or on health care. The social pressure doesn’t exist in our communities to keep neighbors, streets, blocks, towns, counties on the straight and narrow. When many of us find or create a hero for a slice of happiness, the other half of the population needs to rip our joy from our hearts and tell us how dumb we are for wanting to believe our society can be safer for all, that our relatives’ sacrifices for the country we love mean nothing. Until we can hear each others’ concerns, we are going to need some form of protection. In the old days, God *was enough* and hopefully we can get back there someday. |
+1 I can't help noticing that every time there's concrete evidence of the horrendous consequences of liberal policies, the liberals turn it around to criticize Republicans. |
Wow. No words. |

I don't know if that person was serious or trolling. But I don't have too much sympathy for poor, maligned conservatives, who know the solution to illegal aliens and refuse to pursue it. All they do is call liberals names. |
If your child was saved by someone in this country illegally, would you be pressing for the country to throw that person out, even if that person had been here since he was a child and was a taxpaying productive member of society? |
I know, I was so shocked I couldn't respond. Just as pointed out upthread, the liberal, who obviously prides herself on her "compassion," directs that compassion to the illegal aliens who have committed felonies in their home countries. Where is the compassion for legal citizens who are victims of crimes from these illegal immigrants with a history of felonies? |

I would certainly advocate for a legal path to citizenship for that person. It may entail leaving the country and applying for legal status, but I would certainly speak very highly as a character reference on their behalf. All the others who have not saved Americans lives would need to go, though. |

Ah, ok. Thanks for explaining it

^^^ This is a troll, morons. |
| No liberal on this thread is defending him being here illegally morons. He was deported twice. So tired of your lies and selective outrage. |
