We're in a weird TTC mode where he gets a little worn out (wrung out?) during the fertile period, so we don't have sex a lot outside of it. So, like 5 days in a row and maybe once or twice outside of that.

Oh, man. You made me flashback to TTC sex. I like sex, but I started to hate TTC sex. It made me sympathetic to all the women who rightfully object to the suggestion that they just lay back and take it twice a week or whatever schedule their DH thinks they should be on.

TTC sucked the life out of sex. Also, we had sex 2 out of every 3 days, and DH got sore. Is that normal for a man to get sore doing it not even every day?

Not to get too graphic, but I think the answer to that is going to depend on duration and lubrication levels.
