Thanks to you all, I just finished all 7 seasons! I got hooked after the first few episodes. What a fantastic show!! I found myself saying things in my mind in an Australian accent. I miss the Proudmans.

I’m in post-Proudman depression. Nothing comes close to Offspring. I’m about ready to re-watch the series.

Reviving this old thread to say a huge THANK YOU to DCUM for getting me into this show. Just finished the series yesterday and I already miss the characters. So many hilarious and touching moments. I definitely laughed out loud and cried many a time and find myself singing the theme song, and “Your Sister’s a Six” (soooooo funny, the owls part gets me every time and I tear up when Nina and Billie hug). Also love “Billie I Believe in You.” Gah, this show was so good. Need more!

The actress who plays Billie is in a new show called Five Bedrooms. I don’t think it’s available in the US though.

I thought the last couple of seasons were far less good than the beginning. I’m rewatching Parenthood now!

Bumping this thread to say I just discovered this show (finishing season 2 now) and I just want to watch Nina and Chris all day! The chemistry between them really gets me. Sadly, I know the Chris character doesn't come back after this season and I'm not fond at all of Patrick. Might just have to keep rewatching season 1 over and over.

I don’t think I could watch it if Nina and Patrick weren’t a thing. Although I wish we had Patrick another season so he could work out some of his issues.

Such a fabulous show! Just finished all 7 seasons and am rewatching already. Fun fact: I just found out that actor who played Franklin in season 6 (The guy from Will’s office with whom Nina has a one night stand) is Asher Kedde’s husband in real life.
I also wish Patrick and Nina got to experience parenthood together!

I agree it's a great show and a hard one to leave when you've finished all 7 seasons. That said, I hated the way they handled the end of season 4 and Patrick. I didn't think seasons 5 and 6 were as good and the chemistry with Harry wasn't the same.
