And a big shout out to Steve Bannon. Big Luther Strange would have easily won tonight.

Sen. Shelby was also a huge factor. Stood up for what was right instead of what Trump wanted.

Respect.

Kelly Anne Conway, too. She violated the Hatch act for Moore.

Some reporter doing exit polls was struck by how no people mentioned Shelby or the news about the Moore accuser tampering with the yearbook. Lesson that things that seem to be "big" in the media, don't really permeate the general electorate.

Exactly. Senator Shelby didn't have to say what he said. Also thinking of Senator Flake.

(And I'm the opposite of Reoublican.)

Such a contrast to Trump, who I can’t stand to even listen too. He’s humble, thankful, seems like a good guy.

"I've always believed that the people of Alabama have more in common than what divides us." Love him already!

Another favorite quote "This entire race has been about dignity and respect." Wow.

So does anyone feel like apologizing for some of the awful, hateful posts lately stereotyping all Alabamans?

Anyone?

Might if I'd made them. I didn't. And tonight I'm more proud of Alabama than I've been since I last crossed the state border.

Me, neither. Montgomery is a nice place.

Here’s hoping Trump appoints some more sitting senators to cabinet positions. No telling what might happen. Tom Cotton and Lindsay Graham are bucking for one.

Nope. We'll see how you do next year and 2020. Voting against a pedophile is low bar.

If he continues on his road of respect and professionalism, we may be looking at the next president. An articulate, heartfelt speech. And no teleprompter needed. Straight from the heart.

Doug Jones wouldn't have switched the vote either way. Even if it were 50-50, Pence casts the deciding vote. Do not kill my buzz tonight!

A couple Rs are waffling on the tax bill, though.
