uh, continuing here from hitting enter too soon.... they are socially anxious and not big risk takers. Both are in college and doing fine. on one college tour with the second kid, we passed a huge rager by a pool...loud music, everyone in swimsuits, clearly a ton of drinking going on. here I was thinking it looked like fun and the kid said, OMG I can't deal with how loud that is can we walk on a different street.
It seems to be true that some kids are just not interested. |
| I think for me it was just I didn't really take the whole "teen" thing as most people seem to do. Most people think that once your a teen your childhood is over and you should stop being a kid. I didn't think like that at all, especially as an early teen. I thought teen years were childhood, and you just got a bit older. I did some teen things movies/mall...but, I really though kid stuff playing/hanging out outside were much more fun. No desire what so ever to party or experiment. |
