| As a divorced parent, I think this is not a good custody arrangement. I can't understand the dropping off on Saturday night thing. The only reason I can think of this on a Saturday (as distinct from going out to dinner only on a weeknight) is that he had some problems with demonstrating fitness for more time. |

^ Not sure what the situation was for OP's BF, but fitness definitely is the issue that prevents my exDH from having entire weekends of custody. 24 hours is the absolute maximum he and the kids can cope with. I'm sure he has sun this yo his GFs as normal.
I'm always surprised by women who make excuses for guys that don't have 50/50 custody, including 50% of overnights. There's no reason not to do that w/ a 7 and 10 y.o. if both parents are reliable. |
