Safeway has crappy everything these days. They are all gross. I've seen them trying to sell boxes of stuff that were clearly water damaged (think crackers, ice cream cones) - yuck. It's like shopping in a semi dry sewer. |
I knew a family that owned one of those stores (and yes they were Korean) - they had a huge new mansion in Potomac and sent all the kids to private schools, full pay. Just from ripping off poor people at a convenience store in the city. You have to wonder how they kept their books. |
How it's RUN, not 'ran'. And prejudice much? Never been to the city ??? Don't realize that the vast majority of people in the cities aren't running around with guns? The majority of them are decent people working long hours at low wage jobs. They don't deserve to have their only food shopping option to be high priced ripoff convenience stores or a crappy moldy Safeway. You should take a trip to the city and spend some time there . You should, specifically, take a shopping trip to that Safeway and please shut up until after said trip. |
| The latest in this story. Residents manage to negotiate significant concessions but Safeway gets its license. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/a-grocery-store-wanted-to-sell-beer-a-well-organized-neighborhood-made-its-best-attempt-to-stop-it/2017/09/27/b8cc4618-a38f-11e7-ade1-76d061d56efa_story.html?utm_term=.78d7d095a5e0 |
