This is true. The current expeditionary learning structure is a hollow shell of the former EL program. And, the still can't control the bullying either.

What is happening with the bullying that it’s such a BFD? There’s bullying at every school but MV seems to get called out all the time for this. Is there just a rotten group of kids in certain grades?

Aren't LAMB students guaranteed a spot at DCI whereas MV has to lottery? MV and Stokes both started expansion projects that put their graduates at risk of not having a guaranteed place at DCI. Now, you may or may not choose to take advantage of it, but it's not great when your school deprives you of even having the choice.

Actually, Mundo students' lottery-ing into DCI won't start until their expansion.

I have heard the same with the proposed LAMB expansion--until they're admitting more kids, all students at the feeder schools will be admitted.

So just check if you're applying in an expansion year.

When LAMB last expanded, they exceeded their DCI seat allocation. They didn’t share this publicly.

We are taking about maybe 3 students who will miss out. When you consider lambs attrition and the fact that they don’t replenish kids, and sibling preference to dci, it’s essentially guaranteed.

Also- lamb has 470 kids now. 600 and change kids is the max they can expand. For dci not to be guaranteed the school will have to expand beyond that.

After 2025 mundo kids need to lottery for feeder preference and I think get something like a 30% chance.
