| Ugh I'm sorry OP. I had this with a chemical. Once you stop the meds your period should come once your beta starts to drop. You will need to continue getting betas until it's negative to make sure it's not an ectopic, etc. since you will be traveling you should be able to get blood drawn in London. Ask your RE for reccomendations on who to contact in London. |
Thanks, but we are actually going to be in a remote part of the countryside for most of the trip and I really don't know where I could go to get my blood drawn. Especially without making it super awkward with my friends who I didn't really want to share this with. |
| This pregnancy is doomed. I am not a doctor, but personally, with a trip abroad coming up, I'd stop the progesterone and hope that your period starts before your trip. Good luck! |

PP with the 4 chemical pregnancies. This happened in a few of mine. Super low starting beta, less than double second beta. My RE (NYU IVF) actually let me stop progesterone bc they require at least a 66% rise in 48 hours. is your beta a 66% rise? When my rise didnt meet that cut off, I stopped progesterone.
When I stopped progesterone, usually got my period 5-6 days later. Yes, beta had to drop. They usually had me come back for a beta a week later to make sure it was 0. Where will you be a week from Friday? |

Ok just did the math. That's a 16% rise. MOST clinics like to see it double in 48 hours, but since they allow 48-72 hours for it to double, usually the cut off is 66% rise.
16% is not even close. UGH. |
