Panera Bread is gross

I was recently at a business lunch and the gluten free option was a salad with a cookie and bread.

Lol that you're looking for gluten free options from a place with "bread" in its very name. Duuurrrrr uhhduhhhhh

That said, Panera is wonderful if you're looking for some fake "real" food.

I like their chinese chicken salad. Those trays are heavy, though!!

I like the avocado turkey sandwich on sourdough. Also the corn chowder.

The process was so confusing and the options so unappealing I walked out. Bought an apple and some cheese at Target.

Did someone help you figure out how to post here?

So you were able to sample the entire menu once 15 years ago?

The office would bring in lots of items when we were working on deadlines, and I tasted quite a variety. And now that I think of it, since then I've been offered tastes of a few items by those who enjoy Panera. What can I say, it doesn't appeal to me.

What do you like to eat out instead? Or do you prefer to homecook all your meals from scratch with only organic ingredients?

NP, but where shall i start? Cava, Sweetgreen, zoes...

Panera is disgusting. If Panera is the only option, I'd rather go hungry and wait. If im going to eat a high calorie meal, it better not be garbage

I HATE that you have to bus your own table. For a $12 meal, I don't want to separate my silverware from my trash. Even chick fil a buses tables, and Wendy's!

weird thread. I like Panera, but only as a substitute for fast food. I went there a lot when the kids were small. I could get black bean soup and a salad, while they get their mac and cheese, and a pastry... Everyone is happy.

It is a weird thread. There's no Panera fan clubs out there or rabid Panera patrons who start threads about how awesome it is.

Sometimes when I'm hungry and I feel like soup, I stop there and get soup. When I'm not hungry and I don't feel like Panera, I'm not their customer.

The food isn't bad, but it is not memorable, either. It just fills you up. I'd rather give a mom-and-pop establishment my business.

The thai chicken salad there is fine. I've never ordered anything else.

I like a lot of it, but it is waaaay too salty.

I hate all these places, Panera, Chipotle, Chopt you name
It. They're gross, unhealthy and not even affordable. I'd rather have a protein bar or a pb & j from home.
