Hiring freeze-updates????

There are DOJ components that are hiring. My division has recent postings on USAJOBS, for both attorney and support positions.

My VA position is still frozen...sigh.

Hiring freeze still ongoing at NIH. I looked at the usajobs.gov website earlier this week and there were only 6 openings, mostly for nurses at the clinical center.
They are, however, still bringing on post docs and post bacs.

thanks. I think there were a few positions that were looking for very specific skillsets that are best gained not in the government. There was only 7 people in my orientation and only 1 was a current fed. The positions were all 14s or 15s.

PP here - an ok - that's why. I should've been more specific as I'm really only looking for gs-9/11 rated stuff.

There's a 7/9 open at the SEC, but it's in HR.

yeah most of the 7-11 stuff i see is for fed employee only.

State is still frozen. I work in HR and tons of people are transferring around but almost no one is coming in unless they're a contractor or agent.

I also work at State - still a near-total hiring freeze, plus they've now put a stop to transfers as well (at least for GS, FSOs are unaffected). 90% of the positions I've seen on USAJobs in my field are at DoD, but they're increasingly restricting advertisements to internal candidates only, esp at the higher pay grades (13/14 and above). Looks like I might be staying put for a while.
