I know the stats well. 81.7% White + Asian. However, only 14.2% TOTAL between Black and Hispanic. That leaves 4.1% for Native American, Pacific Islander, and Multiethnic. I'd bet its 3% multiethnic at MINIMUM, and we know that multiethnic is White + Asian....so really more like nearly 85% White, Asian, or both. That isn't any bell curve.

W stands for wealthy and white. Wootton isn't wealthy or really that white. If starting with the letter W and aspirationally jonesy was all it took to be counted a W then Wheaton would be a W too. Rockville is not what people mean by wanting the Ws

Wrong. Wootton is definitely one of the W's. Whitman, Winston Churchill, Walter Johnson and Wootton. And Wootton is really wealthy. Not compared to Whitman-but pretty on par with all the others.

How long did you lived zoned for Wootton before you started to believe yourself?

I live in 20853. There is a huge disparity depending on where you are. Flower Valley is lovely, but go south of Bel Pre, heading near Parkland into the area near Brookhaven and you can see the neighborhood changing.

PPs must have a short memory. Remember that man who shot his wife, and then shot another woman at Montgomery Mall last year? Police ended up catching him at the Boston Market right there in Aspen Hill. Schools in the area were on high alert that day, so anyone who actually does live in the area with kids would probably remember this.

Look in the part of the Rockville that's zoned for Wootton (which draws from both Rockville and Potomac). Very safe and nice neighborhoods, and you're in the best schools in the DMV.

Can you just grow up and focus on your own kid? Bell curve this, minorities that. Geez people. And for people fixated on the % of what kind of minority, do you actually expect every place to be a perfect reflection of the US population - 12% black, etc.? The country has never been like that! I live between 270 and 355 and consider it very safe. I walk alone after dark and think nothing of it. Tons of people out with dogs or walking for ice cream! I would not change my habits based on one incident that was not a trend (like the RHS situation)
