Why are men from the midwest the best?

Chicagoan here. These things are so dumb. I’ve met wonderful men and I’ve met men who suck. Guess what? That’s in any place you go. These stereotypes suck and mostly false. You will find find both types of people in all places.

I saw a meme from reductress that said “Am I attracted to him or is he just Midwestern?”

I only know a few Midwestern men but I love them all. They just seem so interested in me, which is probably politeness I’m mistaking for real attention.

Btw I’m married to somebody who isn’t a Midwesterner so I’m not about to go find one.

I lived in the NYC area for many years and then we got transferred to the mid-west. My initial reaction was OH God No but when we got there I discovered that Midwest people are just inherently nicer. The theory of Midwest values is very true. Within 2 years I had no interest in going back East. I’ve never dated a Midwest guy but the single guys I’ve known are very nice.

Not my experience at all after living in Chicago for two years. “Nice values” = growing up in an extremely segregated region/ city where people of different races don’t often interact with each other in meaningful ways (generalization, I know!). Great cost of living, but the culture shock wasn’t worth it for me.
