| I am not clear how their private conversations with a shrink got to be approved as evidence |

I used to think the abuse was made up and they were just spoiled but now there has been new evidence from their cousins who said she was told by the Eric and Lyle that they were being abused. What makes believe the abuse is true is this story:
Roy Rosselló, a former member of the iconic 1980s boy band Menudo, has claimed that he was drugged and raped by the late father of Erik and Lyle Menendez in a forthcoming Peacock docuseries. So I think it is probable they were abused. |
| Apparently Kim Kardashian met with them recently. |

Something is weird about the justice system in California. Therapy sessions with a psychologist and a lawyer are not admissible in court, a judge should not be able to disallow evidence of abuse in a family murder.
What lawyer will tell someone most likely facing a death penalty to come voluntarily to the US when several countries would block extradition in a death penalty case |
I’m surprised he wasn’t a mandated reporter after the suicide risk disclosures let alone murders. Anyhow he set up the discovery for the mistress to disclose it. |
What is a mandated reporter? He was sleeping with his patients, lost his license after the trials and moved to another state to work as a marriage counselor |
| Episode 6 or so was the parents perspective and ambiguous? |

I have only seen one episode so far but it's pretty compelling. I was mostly watching for Javier Bardem who has barely been in it so far. Actually kind of nervous to watch his performance now that I know what kind of person he's playing. Chloe Sevigny is really well cast too.
They are certainly nailing that late 80 LA rich person culture. Also I had to look it up because it's such an insane detail but the brothers really did play a milli vanilli song at their parents memorial. Even weirder is that the Directors Guild also did a memorial for the menendezes that year and they also played that song. Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction! |
Even so they still would be convicted of murder. A lot of women in prison killed abusive husbands or boyfriends or were abused by family members. They’re still sitting in prison. |
Family courts are not better: the abuser still gets 50/50 custody and keeps on abusing the kids and ex wife. Proving psychological abuse is even harder. narcs know that. |
| Finished the series. I came away with “That was one seriously F’d up family.” They just had spoiled rich kids in the mix. |
| One episode to go, right now seems like the court system is F’d up and they keep getting conned by fake pen pals. How dumb can you get. And OJ factors in?!? |
| Murder is justifiable if you are getting abused |
Yes. Seemed like an alternative view of what went down. There were a couple other ones too. |
They didn’t report anything. Not over the years and not after the incident. Granted those were different days and one bro had Hollywood and Presidency eyes. |
