I suggested you live with parents if in a tight circle around Tysons. PG county is too far. You posted that you work in Tysons now Sterling. Do your own nails, go on cell plan with parents, wifi only-no cable, get a roomie in a cheap apt.

and move to Reston if you work in Sterling! Sterling is big so you'll save $ on gas. Maybe avoid toll road also.

Some say they work in Herndon but that is also huge. Herndon near Reston Town center v Herndon Dulles!

On the cell phone, i'm guessing an iPhone. Thats an unnecessary luxury. Return it or sell it, and buy an unlocked android for $200-$300 all-in, and monthly service for $35.

This would save OP around $175 a month. It will probably cost $1000 to move to a new apartment and for any overlap with the leases. Also will cost money to establish new utilities, new curtains (if necessary), cleaning supplies etx. Probably not worth moving unless OP can find a place much much cheaper.

Op - keep up the grooming. It's important for the dating scene. I'll probably be scolded for saying this but finding and marrying a nice guy can do a lot for your finances. It's a lot easier when you have someone to share the rent/mortgage with.

So funny you said that. Im actually Involved with a very nice, older man (hes 33) who is stable...we will see where it goes lol. And he likes that I keep myself up.

My lease is up till April 16. Gonna stay till then and get a roomie after.
Plan on going with T-Mobile.

hes a EM Nurse Practionioner and owns a business. Owns a 3000 sq ft home, no school or credit card debt.

Exactly! Besides, OP's not doing too badly for herself. This is not some young ditzy chick who spends her spends every dime she makes at her minimum wage job on grooming so that she can hang out at the right spots and pick up an old rich guy.

I agree that reducing rent is your bug opportunity. If you aren't deducting tuition and other school expenses from your taxes see if that is an option. Keep up the good work!
