This would save OP around $175 a month.  It will probably cost $1000 to move to a new apartment and for any overlap with the leases.  Also will cost money to establish new utilities, new curtains (if necessary), cleaning supplies etx.  Probably not worth moving unless OP can find a place much much cheaper.

Op - keep up the grooming.  It's important for the dating scene.  I'll probably be scolded for saying this but finding and marrying a nice guy can do a lot for your finances.  It's a lot easier when you have someone to share the rent/mortgage with.  [/quote]
