Yes, she's been with her husband 12 years. He considers my dad his dad so they consider him a blood relative.

When you say "they", are you implying that your parents are on the same page as your sister vis a vis your wife's place in the family ?

They include my parents but only in the aspect that they consider him their own. My parents adore my wife.

I'm concerned that you are wonderingly what to do in terms of forgiving your sister when you should be more concerned about taking care of your wife. If you don't fix this you will have major problems with her, if you don't already. Be forceful with your sister and make sure your wife sees it.

I haven't read through all of the pages but is it possible that your wife has issues? I don't really care for my SIL at all. I've tolerated her rude behavior for over twenty years now and I've only kept my mouth shut to keep a relationship with my brother but I am just about done. My brother has absolutely no clue because nobody has ever confronted him about her behavior. I'm sure if he were confronted, he and she would completely deny everything and it's not like he is going to leave his wife.

Read the thread. It's clear the sister has issues.

When a poster indicates she hasn't read the thread, I assume she struggles with her own challenges that compel her to opine on something she has little to no information about - much like some of the MILs and SILs that are discussed in this forum.

There are two sides to every story. You are only getting one from the OP. I can opine on that.
