And there have been terrible presidents in the past too. Andrew Jackson was probably far worse than Donald Trump could ever possibly be and he didn't "ruin" America either.

This is not to say that I find Donald Trump an ideal candidate (I despite the man for many reasons) but I do not buy all this fear that somehow Trump will lead to the irrevocable decline of America. We have an extremely strong system of checks and balances, multiple levels of government each with its own separate powers down to the state level and municipality levels, we have a large house of congress, many of whom, including Republicans, despise Donald Trump. We have a huge and very vocal population and one of the biggest and most free media entity in the world that does nothing but closely follow every step the president takes.

The president's power is much more limited than most people realize.

Off the top of my head: 9/11 - which a more aware President may have been able to stop, those two little wars we started that we're still fighting and that birthed ISIS, greater debt than we could ever dream of, that teensy little financial blip the country is still recovering from. All strictly George? No, you're right, the president is not a dictator (no matter what the Republicans say of Obama). But he did have a hand in creating and steering the policies a lot of these things. With time passed we can now see that W was a nice enough guy who was way, way, unforgivably out of his league. I can't even fathom the mess Short Fingers would make.

Honestly, I think people have made up their minds a long time ago and if anything this may enthuse the Hillary voters instead of us feeling complacent. There's not enough information about these emails to really change someone's mind and do enough damage for her to lose all battleground states. Trump needs to win all swing states and I don't see that happening. However, let's hope something drops on trump to change the narrative.

If you look at the 538 poll average over time (or the probability score), we are back where we were in June, 2016.

Yet Trump doesn't feel it necessary to call out and firmly condemn any hate speech towards ANYONE. There is plenty of that at Trump rallies. It's more about making a certain segment of his base happy, otherwise he would have vehemently condemned the guy (among others) who turned to the press shouting JEW-S-A.

It's not the job of his mouthpieces to call it out, it's Trump's (as he claims to be the voice of ALL people :roll.

Yeah he should be put in jail for being black since that is treasonous. How can a black man get into white house? The black man should truly be tried for treason for having approval rate at 55% when the previous white man, who sent the economy into tail spin with deepest recession and a wrong war, left office with less than 30% approval. How can a black president have better approval than a white disgraced man. It is high treason.

^^^ Oh yeah, it is really treasonous to leave the country with housing crisis resolved, economy growing close to 3% in the most recent quarter, unemployment at 5%, Americans not losing lives by the thousands in wars.

Even those experts who usually avoid making such parallels have been admitting this time there are in fact quite a few to be drawn. Not really. You are talking about EXPLICIT and declared wars against sovereign nations. But undeclared wars with minimal ground troops, quick missions, covert missions, missions against NON-State actors such as ISIS, AlQueda doesn't need congressional approval. And these undeclared wars can cause real damage to America too.
