Second grader feels badly about height

To be short AND not interested in sports is like 2 strikes against a boy.

Yeah, that could well be, but at the end of the day you are who you are, so he needs to learn to accept himself.

Put him in chess or spelling bee club , he will be among South Asian boys that have been shown to be on average below the growth curve.
Or take a trip to France, he will feel average...

Just kidding but take it with a grain of salt... my first DD feels short, my second DD feels tall ,.. at some point they will feel too fat or too thin or too flat or too whatever.

I know the feeling are true (and am so happy to be old enough to not give a damn about it anymore) so I do not ignore it but tell them that everybody finds something to complain about, this is human nature, but ultimately it does not matter as it is about appearances.
