Is it bad to want a specific kind of engagement ring?

Let's assume the OP is real.

First, your sisters are probably gold diggers, and probably did the exact same thing you did, married a man to stay in the US permanently. Secondly, if you really love this man, no piece of jewelry will matter. You should be happy with what he can afford to get, whenever that is.
