Commute separately. Can't stand being in the car with DH driving. He doesn't comment on other drivers too much since he is the sucky one, but speeds up when the light he needs to get to has just turned red and then has to break suddenly. Why speed up? The light just changed, you have plenty of time now. Makes me nauseated to sit in his car. Doesn't speed up when he has few seconds to make the light. Then acts so surprised that the light changed though the seconds were counting down and visible to him. Doesn't see people about to cross and so on. Blind as a bat.Does wear glasses though.
Spend less time together, don't talk politics, just nod if needed. That's how we are making it, barely.
And before you say it's me, not DH, he calls other kids on playground savages while ours is the perfect little angel. One "savage" helped our bad boy get off a steep hill holding his hand after he had crashed bigger boys' play group.

I honestly think even having to ask this is a reflection of how segregated our culture now is politically. I really, really hate Trump but it's hard to spend a meaningful amount of time with a Trump supporter without realizing that they are also human beings too with positives and negatives and not weird cartoon characters.

The same thing could be said about slave merchants , segregationists , white supremacists , nazis, fascists and jihadist sympathizes

I can't speak for that PP, but as one PP who stopped responding to you: I am perfectly capable of making a rational and reasoned response to you, but would be an idiot to do so, because you've made it clear you are not open to being proven wrong. I am literally more likely to convince a Trump supporter to switch to Clinton than I am to convince you of anything at all. You have said literally nothing suggesting that you have sufficient cognitive flexibility to understand someone else's point of view. Frankly, the only reason I'm responding to you in any fashion is on the off chance an open minded moderate is reading these posts and becomes convinced that somehow your view of the world reflects what rational progressives actually believe. Did not read everything, but my husband is an extremely angry driver. I tell him repeatedly that his cursing and yelling at drivers can only be head by me. Does he really want to cusre and scream at me? Works some of the time. I also drive to avoid this.
