+1 Probably my favorite show, ever.

But agree with a PP that season 2 is cringy. It was during the writer's strike and it shows.

That's also the the season with the best scene of the whole series. (You all know which one I'm talking about.) So still very much worth watching.

Yes. And despite the cringe-y storyline, Jesse Plemmons is so very terrific throughout--he (almost) makes it work.

Wait, what do you consider the series best scene? Landry wasn't in the Coach/Matt bathroom scene.

Yes, the bathroom scene. Landry was in the other big storyline of season two, but that one was awful.

Jesse plemmons fan here. What I was trying to say above was:

"yes." (that is the season with (one of) the best scene of the whole series--the bathroom scene.)

"And despite the cringy storyline..." What I meant was, even though the season with the bathroom scene also includes the terrible cringy storyline, that cringy storyline involves Landry, who is played by Jesse Plemmons, who is so terrific he almost makes the cringy storyline work.

Sorry for the confusion!

You must go on! The last season is the best one of all.

No worries, OP. I am rewatching Dawson's Creek and could not be happier. (Full disclosure: I FF through any scene that doesn't involve Pacey or Joey. And I watch the Joey scenes only on the chance that Pacey gets mentioned. )

Op here- that sounds like a great way to watch Dawson's! That final episode is one of the best series enders.

.....going back to watch season 2 to remind myself the cringy stuff involving Landry....

Watch all eight seasons of Parenthood - if you liked Gilmore Girls, you'll love Parenthood.

I'm currently rewarding FNL for the third time because im too brain dead by evening for anything else (pregnant with #3). I get sad every time I finish it since nothing else compares!

It really is a great show.

Dawson's Creek watcher here. I am happy to report that I have never seen the Gilmore Girls or Parenthood, so I'm putting those on my list. I just can't stand most of the stuff on TV these days--GOT, the Americans, Breaking Bad, etc--I know these things are great but when I sit down by myself on the couch after a long day, when everyone else is in bed, I really just want something that makes me feel good.

Pacey 4ever!

OP here- loved Parenthood. But it makes watching Peter Krause on another great show, The Catch, kinda weird. I keep expecting Adam Braverman to show up

OP here- also add Veronica Mars to your list. By far my most favorite show ever. I can watch rerun of Veronica Mars, Gilmore Girls, Dawsons Creek and Buffy ad infinitum

OP, try Felicity ( better if you haven't seen The Americans or Scandal yet).
