Maybe the boxes walked off on their own.

The vendors goal is to sell products and to advertise their goods. It is in their interest that people see just how many purchases are made from their store or of their products and packaging is an excellent way that is relatively cheap (the additional cost of branded packaging instead of plain anonymous packaging is low) for them to get widespread name and product recognition.
Security is the customer/consumer's responsibility. When you make your decision about where to live you have various tradeoffs. One is the security of the area and the security of the residence. If you happen to live in a higher crime area, then you have to take into account how to handle deliveries of any sort. For some, that means living in buildings with doormen/front desks that have people to receive packages. For others, they have the option to have deliveries elsewhere, whether friends, offices, etc. If you have none of the above, then you need to pay for a drop-off location. You can rent a post office box or a UPS box and both will accept deliveries on your behalf and save them for when you can pick them up. |
An informative post with a reasonable solution and no snarkiness. I like it. |
I would love to forward your comment to this homeowner to see if they would find the same humor in it as you |
NP says "some little humor won't kill you." |
I think you should. I bet they tell you to lighten up bit. Do it and report back to us! |
Its official: Posters in this thread are siding with the criminals. |
Why can't people stop stealing shit that isn't theirs? That's a Q to ask. |
Haha - love it! I'm going to build a box family out of all of our Amazon boxes. ![]() |
+1 Maybe uptight PP should order a stick extractor from Amazon. Next day, preferable. Too late for same day now, right? |
I don't think everything can be sent to Amazon Locker, but yes, that is an idea. Some boxes are just too big for it.
I can't believe some of y'all order things that you can drive to a Safeway or Giant for to get. As multiple people said, some employers do not allow packages to be sent there, and this day in age, it is not too surprising. |
Seriously. I posted that photo. I've had a few packages stolen but still have som humor on me! |
I'm not going through the inconvenience of shipping anywhere other than my home or a relative's home. IME, high value items are shipped requiring a signature.
And if an item is stolen, Amazon will replace it. |
What if the box says Amazon pantry? That seems pretty low value |
It is the fault of the thief who has no respect or common decency. As to the jackass pp above with the bonefish grill comment, I have never been to a bonefish but I can tell you that I live in an area where we respect each other and there is zero theft. I will take the .0001 percent increased chance of a car accident over something being taken from my porch or worrying about my wife going out for a run after dark anytime. Enjoy fm those urban benefits. It sure sounds awesome. |
