Teacher blabbed to older sibling

"I think OP is taking about graded assignment, not the report card. "

Aha. You're probably right. Still not a great idea.

It sounds like the teacher overreacted but if your son was mimicking him he was being disrespectful. I hope you acknowledged his ill behavior and handled it so he doesn't continue to be disrespectful in school.

Wow -- thanks captain obvious! Seems like you get some kind of high from reading posts, assuming the worst about people, figuring that nobody except for you knows how kids ought to act, and what constitutes acceptable behavior, and then schooling them on proper parenting in an obnoxious smarty-pants fashion.

I quit teaching because so many of the teachers had the emotional skills of children themselves. Loved gossip and school dynamics which is why they wanted more of it. I'm sorry you're family has been hurt by this.

I have 2 boys. If one of my kids punched and kicked another child, I would be glad if the teacher shamed him. This is unacceptable behavior and my child would be punished. Teacher telling brother during school? Fine by me. My child will face worse consequences at home by me!

Why was your son not suspended? We have a zero tolerance even in kindergarten. Once you hit you get sent home and you can't come back then next day either.

Yes, why was your child not suspended or at least sent to the principal's office? Shouldn't the principal have called the parents?
