Is Trump racist?

I don't know what this means. Sorry.

He has dated an AAs, so that says something.

He calls Mexicans rapists. That's racist.

You are mis-stating his positions on Muslims. He wants a BAN, nothing to do with allowing Muslims in without screening. A BAN BASED SOLELY ON RELIGION. It's shocking.

wasn't it hillary who said that?

Of course it was. This is what passes for subtle wit among some folks.

This. A categorical ban applied to a group of people based on a single characteristic - religion in this case - is overt bigotry. How could it be otherwise? If you consider it in light of his statement about using military intervention to help Christians in the Middle East, it's even more clear.

To clarify, I don't mean Hillary. I mean the Sanders supporter who is using this thread to trash Clinton, but who is inadvertently reinforcing negative perceptions about a certain subset of Sanders backers. The latter is dismaying, because most Sanders supporters are not like this. Only a small but very vocal group of them.

Very cute - I see what you did there. Because common expressions that have been in use for so long no one even thinks about their deeper meaning are a sure sign of RACISM!!!![i][u]

Yes, of course he is. He hates women too. And probably himself, but his psychosis and stupidity runs so deep that he'd never become aware of that.

Trump frames his statements to appeal to white identity politics. It is a classic case of blaming all of America's ills on "them", the "them" being blacks, Mexicans, Muslims, women, the disabled, etc., depending on the issue at hand. If a black person can't find a job, according to Trump that person lacks spirit. If a white Christian male can't find a job, it is because the job was either sent to Mexico or taken by an illegal immigrant. Whether this is racism or cynical politics is a question that we can't answer.

I'd love to know when Trump said any of the above.

So, according to your source, he never said African-American youths "have no spirit". Please try again.

"I love the Mexican people … I respect Mexico … but the problem we have is that their leaders are much sharper, smarter and more cunning than our leaders, and they’re killing us at the border," said Trump, in front of a giant American flag at the Saturday afternoon rally at the Phoenix convention center. He added, "They’re taking our jobs. They’re taking our manufacturing jobs. They’re taking our money. They’re killing us."

Again, according to your source above, he never said that white Christian men [your assertion above] can't get jobs because of Mexicans or illegals.

What other statement that I made do you need documented? I really can't believe everything I wrote is not common knowledge.

I'd rather not have any other statements documented by you, you seem to be ill informed.

There are no Mexican rapists?

Any source on his "BAN" on Muslims?

More liberal hyperventilation.

I guess if you are not willing to see what is right in front of your face, there is no way to inform you of anything. The sources I provided clearly document what I said they do.

What is strange is that I suspect that you support everything Trump says, yet you deny that he says it. That is really strange behavior.

What I find really strange is that your sources don't support any of your claims, but you keep claiming they do.

I'm sure you impress the libs on this board, but it's really pathetic.

ive told friends that i dont believe that trump is racist. he is playing to the racist faction of the republican party and winning. people keep giving him credit for his business savvy and its really coming into play in knowing his audience, more than being a "straight talker"

some of you can cry, scream, and "point" to the fact that the dems started the kkk, had byrd as a senator, and other no sequitur nonsense. truth is, trump knows where the rage primarily stems from and he went there and combined it with a message for folks who may not be on that racist end and more about being fed up about being ignored. the combination is his base.

Agreed. This poster- and so many others- are trying to read into something that simply isn't there. As much as you scream "racist," I have yet to see any evidence of this. I don't agree with everything Trump says and think he severely lacks eloquence in his messaging. However, I'm more prone to support him seeing his words twisted and exaggerated like this.
