You have a lack of modesty and normal boundaries with your kids. Whatever. Some of us prefer a little modesty and if we wanted a window into the bathroom and if we desired to be "the show" we would certainly have found a room that had a set up like that. Not funny.

Which hotel(s) do this? If it's a chain I will certainly be sure to avoid it.

I didn't say I'd turn our room into a nudist colony. But "normal boundaries" does not mean flipping your shit over this. Also agree that you should have booked two rooms in the first place. Now THAT is my idea of normal boundaries.

Not everyone has your budget. You can share a freakin' hotel room without intending to strut around nude and shower naked in front of your hotel roomie. And, yes, I would flip my shit over something like that. Put a damn warning in the bathroom. Good grief.

Except it's a luxury hotel so they clearly did have the budget they just decided to use it this way...

Which hotel? And so what if they decided to get one really nice hotel room vs two crappy rooms. That is their call. Doesn't mean that they expected this creepy hidden window in their shower.

Agree that it's their call. You're the one who tried to cry poor on OP's behalf.

Anyway it's not creepy. I can dig it.

I think the teenager was, ahem, busy in the shower. That's why mom is so upset. Awkward.

I'm sure it was designed so you could watch your hooker shower before she leaves.

It will be a cold day in heck before I bring the kids to Vegas....it's for grownup fun!

The Cromwell?

Um ... It sounds like it is only an issue with a certain combination of lights on and off. Keep the lights all on or shower during the day.

You should be annoyed about this. And having hotel maintenance come up and hang towels is tacky. Hotel management should give you a better room or you should move to a different hotel.

Ignore the trolls.

Who takes their kids to Vegas?

The Cromwell??
From Thrillst website about the rooms:
" 9. They also come with two-way mirrors in the shower
That means you can see the silhouette of whoever's in there (or more than a silhouette if you adjust the lights), so bottom line: don’t book The Cromwell if you’re visiting Vegas with your Mom."

Do your research beforehand next time, OP.

Man if OP had shelved the Puritan panic and just figured out a way to ditch the kids for a couple hours she could have had some fun with DH.

That is what I think, or it was dad getting busy.

I'd have treated like if I had accidently walked in on someone changing, "ack, sorry, I'll turn the light back on."

OP, it's Vegas, they can give you vouchers for anything you want. Go down to the concierge and whine and complain (I get the idea that you may be good at that), get some meal vouchers at their crazy buffets, vouchers for massages to deal with the stress that the shower situation has caused you, maybe vouchers for a show to take your mind off of what you saw, etc. Vouchers vouchers vouchers!!

And it's Vegas, go have some fun!

I stayed in the Rio last year and they had a window (not mirror glass) but it was up high like about 6 feet up. I think it was to bring more light into the bathroom.
