Honestly? If said person is a grandmother in her 60s? She gets the benefit of the doubt on the sincerity versus sarcasm of "dear." |
Of course I don't know her and of course I'm making stuff up. But if she actually wanted a dialogue, why did she leave? |
Umm, a secret service agent and a Governor had a little something to do with her leaving. Do you really think she could of stayed and continued the dialogue after Hillary raised her voice? |
OK. You win. Hillary is a horrible human being and I will never, ever, ever vote for her. |

| I'm black and I'm not offended by how Hillary handled this. First, she may have been genuine in suggesting that the young lady run for office. If she is passionate about politics, why not? Let's say Hillary was being sarcastic, way the young lady being overly argumentative? I'm sorry, you get to make your point, but you can't just keep arguing with a candidate when the candidate has to speak to other people also. There are certain protocols. You don't get a pass because you are young and passionate about your cause. |
| Why are you referring to a Somali American instead of an African American? |
Maybe because the person identifies themself as Somali American. Blacks who have been in America for generations refer to themselves as African American. Recent immigrants from Africa tend to identify with specific countries in Africa rather than just Africa as a continent. They are all black, but just as people from the continent of Europe are not homogeneous, nor are blacks. |
That is the term the linked article uses. Minnesota has the largest Somali American community in the US. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somali_Americans |
