Let's get real: Charlotte York would never have been single

The Miranda character was so realistic. I an Miranda. I know lots of Mirandas.

Right! And she'd always complain about how her type of men aren't around which confuses me. Surely there was the pool of WASPY young men her parents or her immediate network would hook her up with.

Miranda's storyline was so realistic! Carrie was such an immature brat. Big was so not a catch and she got charmed by his dollar bills.

Because she has dated men?

Cynthia Nixon dated men too

Cynthia Nixon was in a long-term relationship with a man, the father of her children. That's a whole other discussion.

If Kristin likes women, she certainly picks some good beards!

"Kristin, who played hopeless romantic Charlotte in the hit SATC series and film franchise, has been linked to a host of actors over the years, including The Mentalist's Reed Diamond, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels star Steve Martin, Scream's Liev Schreiber and Homeland's Damian Lewis."

If this is what you think than you never had a Mr. Big yourself!

Who is Charlotte York? I honestly opened up this thread thinking maybe it was about that English singer a few years ago:

Carrie always said her apartment was rent-controlled for the first few seasons of the show, which made it believable. Now how she was able to BUY it once it went co-op, with a borrowed downpayment and no other pennies to her name, is completely unrealistic and bugs the crap out of me.

I was just watching a marathon last night on Oxygen (maybe OP was too!). I always get misty eyed at the scene where Trey shows up for the magazine photo shoot just before he and Charlotte separate.

One thing that bothered me was that he gave Charlotte his family's apartment in the divorce settlement - why?? They were only married what, a year? How much must that apartment be worth? And then she ended up moving Harry in and having her own family in that apartment. Bunny should have put a stop to that nonsense.

Bunny tried! Trey had to send the telegram to Harry's office. Trey realized what he'd put Charlotte through and that was a parting gift, if you will. And, yes, I realize I'm talking about them like they are real people!

Looking only at the subject line, I couldn't imagine why you'd already be talking about marriage for the new royal princess. Then I realized the Yorks are Prince Andrew's line.

I used to watch SATC but haven't thought about it for years, and I doubt I ever knew Kristin's character's last name.

Op here. Aw yes that scene was always so touching and well done. It was obvious trey felt really bad about what had happened since he was the problem in their marriage from the start. She was so eager and determined to make it work no matter what. He's the one who quit.
