Getting pregnant to keep a man

Complete garbage.

Tampering with a partner's BC is frequently seen in domestic abuse cases. If he can knock her up, it gives him one more way to control her. Hide her pills. Poke holes in a diaphragm, etc.

My SIL did this to bag my BIL. It worked and they have what one could call a good marriage. She is just one of those people who gets what she wants, other people dammed.

so your siblings wife and husband got pregnant together? I can hear hillbilly music playing in the background

Nice try. It was my wife's brother who got bamboozeled.

Not if it's her husbands brother and his wife.

Comprehension and context, people.

She comes from a conservative community.

So how is her community going to view her if she ends up having a child out of wedlock because he's happy with a baby, but still not marrying her?

They're commuted though. He just isn't enthusiastic about a wedding ceremony.

My mother did this with my father. She was the OW and she thought getting pregnant would make him leave his wife for her.

She ended up a single mother with twins.

Then she went and did it again with a different man.

(Shockingly, I ended up a fairly well adjusted adult who would neither sleep with another woman's husband nor trap a man by getting pregnant.)

Bullshit. He's not enthusiastic about BEING MARRIED.

I know someone who "got engaged", picked out the venue, dress, bridal shower, invitations sent....then it was time to get the marriage license and he REFUSED to go! Had to cancel everything. She was humiliated.

If he doesn't want to have kids with her, needs needs to put a cover on it.

My Sil did this to my brother. They were married for about 4 years. I feel so bad for my nephew.

Yes, but does she want children as a single parent? Because that's the risk she's taking here. If she's OK with that outcome, she can proceed (as long as he knows they are taking the risk, if she's doing this without his knowledge, she's a lousy human.) If not, she needs to tell him the deal - no kids unless he marries her. If he doesn't, she needs to find someone who is on the same page and wants children and marriage, and he will be free to find someone who wants children, but not marriage.

She wants marriage and children with him. He wants children with her; this one night he tried to have sex with her without a condom on and when she asked him what's going on he said he wanted babies. She said she wanted a wedding first. He said weddings are stupid. Now she's okay with having sex without a condom.

She's not gonna get her wedding. And she'll probably have the audacity to be mad about it later.

He has been hesitant to go through a wedding with her but always talks about having children. So now they're having unprotected sex. Now she says she just wants a quickie ceremony after she's knocked up.

Anyone else has done this? Does it end well?

Someone from Baltimore just told me that their word for it is "Leeches," the girlfriend who gets pregnant as a way to gain the man's family support. It sounds so ugly, and it's unfortunate that it happens so often that there's a term for it. The woman who told me is a mom and said this is a routine part of "the talk" young men are given. Yikes!

They sound like a couple of ditzy teens
