She comes from a conservative community.

So how is her community going to view her if she ends up having a child out of wedlock because he's happy with a baby, but still not marrying her?

They're commuted though. He just isn't enthusiastic about a wedding ceremony.

Bullshit. He's not enthusiastic about BEING MARRIED.

I know someone who "got engaged", picked out the venue, dress, bridal shower, invitations sent....then it was time to get the marriage license and he REFUSED to go! Had to cancel everything. She was humiliated.

Sucks for her but glad he finally stood up for himself. Why go through with something that you don't want? Both need to be on the same page and clearly she wasn't.

Have a good friend that I'm fairly certain did this with her DH. They already had a child and he said no to a second. She wanted one and did not think they would ever split, and obviously they were still having sex. Bam, she winds up pregnant. Fast forward -- he wanted her to abort, she refused, he was cheating the whole time, on and off living together by the time the baby was born. Eventually divorced. He married the OW, but not before getting her knocked up. So three kids now and one baby born out of wedlock. He's quite the catch!

She's an idiot because that's the best way to end up a single mother and that ain't no cake walk.

He has been hesitant to go through a wedding with her but always talks about having children. So now they're having unprotected sex. Now she says she just wants a quickie ceremony after she's knocked up.

Anyone else has done this? Does it end well?

All she can do is have him on the hook for 18 years of child support and what she will do is lose him. She is reprehensible And I am a woman.

Your friend sounds very young and immature.

I am quite sure many girls have done this, but in reality it NEVER works out.

Just because a woman has a man's child does not make her more attractive or loveable in his book. She won't get any brownie points that is for sure.

Instead, the man may feel conned.

And it is very unfair to the unborn child. He will suffer the most in the long run.
