Totally agree that Obama's Special Olympics remark was cringe-worthy, but I'm sure he's embarrassed and he already apologized. There is a big difference between putting your foot in your mouth and actually being incompetent. The latter is much more embarrassing, and we had plenty of experience with that the last eight years.

I think you have it backwards. It was the Irish PM who slipped up and Obama was later kidding him by pretending to do the same.
