Why did some people get wait list numbers for both Sligo and Maryvale? You are only really eligible for one depending on where you live. We're people planning to move if they got a spot in one or the other?

Actually you are eligible for either one. It's just that they won't bus you if you're on the other side of the county. I had to specifically ask this because the information online was so confusing.

DD- rising K- got waitlisted for all programs. I know of three families who got spots Mvale, RCF, and RT-- what are the the odds?! I'm bummed. Not sure what to do now. Not happy with home school. Suggestions?

Waitlisted #13 at Potomac. Any stories of years past on getting a spot there from that position on the waitlist? Since it gives home school kids a preference, I cant imagine many would decline or drop out.

That's incorrect- they will bus your child, but s/he might be in for a very long bus ride, some are just over 2hours - one way.

Many people move when it's time to enter K. We were in the same boat. We moved.

I only applied to two school because of the confusion on line, had I known I would have added Maryvale, BM, RT. I am #45 SC #117 RCF.

DD is enrolled in BE, but thinking to go into Catholic Lordes or Holy Redeemer.

Not sure about 1st, k, I would say -yes. I'd call immersion office to get more insight.

Wait listed at # 220 for RCF !
How low can you go on these lists? MCPS needs to do something when the demand is far outpacing resources!
