I read somewhere that if you are invited to a program then you get two weeks to make a decision. I can't find that information in their FAQ though.

I've been looking for this thread! No word yet, but last year they were very late April and got two weeks to reply.

Ha! I was going to start this thread myself!

Did they really say late April in your letter. In my letter they said the results would be mailed in early May.

The MCPS website says late April. My email confirmation said early May.

On DCUM, the posts discussing results last year don't begin until May 5 or so.

They generally say late April every year. Last year, some actually got their child's status mailed as early as that...some of us were early May. There is some debate about whether or not you were offered a slot determining just when you'd hear. We were waitlisted for each language/school applied to (RCF, MV and CG).

Word on the street is they are coming this week.

Huh. My email confirmation says late April: "Immersion lottery results will be mailed to you in late April."

Because I am that obsessed (with language immersion, broadly, although we have a fantastic home school): I called the MoCo office responsible for the immersion results this morning.

The woman I spoke to said that ALL letters (not just the first round of those invited to a program) went out in this morning's mail. So they should be coming this week, within the next few days, or even tomorrow.

Feeling better just knowing that the waiting to hear where things stand will end very soon.

Hope this helps others who are as obsessed as I am.
