Lesser of two evils: Prince George's or Prince William County?

Is this just some thought exercise, OP? Or are you actually considering this? If it's the latter, then it's a ridiculous question because it would depend entirely on your commute.

I live in PG and we are very happy with our choice. I know very little about PWC but wouldn't consider it because I work in DC.

Neither area will be welcoming to snobs who think they're too good to live there. I guess PG has more open land so you can buy a large plot, build a home and you won't have to interact with anyone.

PWC median income is $105,235
PG median income is $73,447

Of course they do. They are everywhere.

Your dilemma seems to have some people looking for a strong belt and a weak chair.

Didn't read the whole thread title and thought this was about the British royal family...

Moved from Alexandria to PG County. Schools suck, but people are great in my neighborhood (mixed races) and the commute to DC is a breeze. Maybe if I lived in PWC I wouldn't have to send my kids to private, but the commute would force me to drink more and dabble in recreational drugs to forget the pain. Hmmm....

I think OP is a troll trying to get people to bash on PG and PW. Don't feed the troll. I'm sure both areas have pros and cons like anywhere else and that commute could make one better vs the other. No need to blindly dump on these communities.

PG County, National Harbor.

If you have to think about commute and bang for your buck I would pick PG. Closer commute to city, prices have been moving forward for a while. It is the only county on the boarder of DC that is left to move to that has reasonable prices. More and more folks are figuring this out and you are seeing the sales happen more and more. Commute is becoming a big selling point more and more every year. Schools, not hot good but that will change over time as parents move into the area and start demanding more from the schools.

PWC. PG is just too ghetto for me (sorry, not sorry).
