A very interseting observation which I think is based on religion at my sons school

This is so bigoted. Why are people picking on jews for no reason. People clump together with people like them. When I was in college, every affiliated group had their own gang. The asian Americans hung out together, the fobs, the Muslim students hung out together. I was actually the odd one out because I hung out with everyone. I went to an international affairs school for Grad school. You would think peoplemwould socialize with different groups more... Nah. The Japanese had their group. The Koreans had their own group. A korean guy told me not to hang out with the Americans as they weren't to be trusted. This went on when I was an intern at a development agency. Since I was not from a majority country I was left out of all the social activities the Japanese association had, Koreans, Americans, Thai, chinese, Americans
People have a tendency to hang out with people like them. It's a natural inclination, stop ragging on the jews bigots. Don't play dumb with all he talk of privilege. Revolting. Op, I am sure you gravitate to people you think are like you. It actually takes effort for people to actively go meet others out of their comfort zone. it is ok and can be done, as long as people make he effort. But don't pretend like the first natural thing to do is not to gravitate to the people whose backgrounds you understand the most first.
